How a Christian should respond to the climate change agenda?

God said that He created everything, the heavens and the earth, all that is on the earth, in the sea, and in the heavens, everything has been created by Him and for Him, it belongs to Him.

See Genesis 1, Genesis 2, Psalm 24:1, Colossians 1:15-20

The earth is not our god. It is not mother earth. God made it, so that His creation could live on it, under His authority.

A few thousand years ago (Not Billions) God caused a great flood to come upon the earth as recorded in Genesis. https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/

The reason God destroyed His creation (except for 8 people) was His judgement to get rid of the wickedness that had filled the whole earth. God will likewise bring another judgement upon the earth, one of fire.

In a letter written by the Apostle Peter, we read in 2 Peter 3:1-13

“ 1 This is my second letter to you, dear friends, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate your wholesome thinking and refresh your memory. 2 I want you to remember what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Saviour commanded through your apostles. 3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” 5 They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. 6 Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood.

world wide flood
7 And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgement, when ungodly people will be destroyed.8 But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day 9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgement.11 Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, 12 looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. 13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

Man can not save the planet from what God intends to do, and unless you are calling God a liar. (which I don't advise) it's best you get right with Him before it's too late.

Christian must be clear

Christians must make it clear that the scriptures are the inspired word of God 2 Tim 3:15-16 and that all the things that God want us to understand about Him and what is going to happen to this earth and the people on it (The world) all according to His will and purpose. The things that have been spoken of through the prophets and written in scripture in the past, that have yet to be fulfilled, are called prophecy.

There are no prophecies that tell us that the end of the world will come about as a result of man's over use of fossil fuels, leading to too much Co2. Fact.

There is however a continued process of decay going on, the earth is literally groaning (as an expectant mother with birth pain) Romans 8:14-25 And verses 19-23 The world has been subjected to futility by God and an appointed time when all those who are to be sons of God will be revealed. Whatever is coming upon this earth will be under God's control, in His timing and under His authority. The growing will include the increase in earthquakes, wars, famines. See Matt 24:6-14.

There will be an allowcated time when the two beast will arise spoken of in Revelation 13; 14; 17 Then the wrath of God will be poured out upon the earth, sea the waters and the heavens and it is at this point when such destruction will come that is not possible to imagine.  It was written down in the pages of Revelation. People will cry out for the mountains to fall on them rather than face God's wrath. Rev 6:12-17

So Christian be clear about these things. God alone will bring about the end of this age according to His will, purpose and by His word and nothing else comes close.

Christians be assured 2 Peter 1:1-4

Message to the world

Wickedness, is rife today, as sin prevails in every corner of society.

You probably think of yourself as a good person, (like everybody does) You do good things like helping someone in need, looking after someone who is sick or by even educating society about the so-called climate crisis and doing your bit to save the planet. But what does God say?

In the word of God (written in the bible) we find the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:2–17, Deuteronomy 5:6–21)

Here are just four

1. Do not lie

2. Do not steal

3. Do not murder

4. Do not take the Lord's name in vain

1. Do not lie

How many lies do you think you have told? Be honest, don’t lie.

What does that make you? A liar

2. Do not steal

Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of the value, even if it’s small?

What does that make you? A thief

3. Do not murder

(Anger without a cause is the same as murder)

Jesus said, “Whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

Have you been angry with someone without cause?

What does that make you? A murderer

4. Do not take the Lord's name in vain (To Blaspheme)

Do you know what you’re doing when taking the Lord's name in vain?

Instead of using a filthy word to express disgust, you’re using the name of the God who gave you life. That’s called blasphemy, and the Bible says, ‘The LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain’ (Exodus 20:7).

It also means that if you claim you are a Christian and yet you don’t live as one. Then you take His name in vain. An example of this is found in 1 Samuel 2:12-36; 3:1-20

Have you ever used God’s name in vain?

What does that make you? A Blasphemer

I’m not judging you, but if you have been honest and not lied then by your own admission, you’re a lying, thieving, murdering, blasphemer, and you have to face God on Judgment Day.

Where do you think you are going, heaven or hell?

The scales of justice

May be you are someone who things the scales of justice symbol means that if you do as many good deeds and you have done bad then a judge will let you go without paying for the crime you committed. God will never do that, He is Just, true and righteous.

So, if you went before a judge having broken any of God's laws, would he be a good judge if he let you off because you helped with the climate change agenda or even did a few good deeds?

Absolutely not.

The word of God says that the wages for sin is death. That’s right, we die because we have sinned. Death is our payment for sin.

But the word of God goes on to say that after death comes judgement. Yes, that’s right, death is not the end because there is a resurrection to come of both the living and the dead.

But if you still believe you’re a good person and think that your good works are going to save you from a righteous, just God.  Consider again the word of God.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."  (Eph 2:8-9)

“For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.” (Romans 3:20)

So you have admitted you are a sinner, your debt to God is that you will die and then be sentenced to eternal punishment. Furthermore, there is nothing you can do to merit salvation. How will you escape the judgement of a just and righteous God?

What if someone paid your debt? Someone did.

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus took our sin upon Himself and was our substitute, dying on the cross, once for all, taking our punishment. He was without sin, which is why His sacrifice was acceptable to God. Hence, He was and is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.

John 1:29, Rev 5.

God the Father accepted His blood as the means through which forgiveness could be made. This is called atonement.

Getting right with God

Getting right with God means you having to admit to God that you are guilty before Him and deserve to die, as the scriptures tell us. You must understand God is merciful and has provided you and the whole world His salvation by His grace alone, by the giving of His only-begotten son Jesus Christ. His work of salvation is not by any work that you can do to merit His favour.

the cross

You must accept and believe that Jesus died in your place for your sins, and you must turn away (repent) from living in sin and now live to please God. This is only possible by being made new by the Holy Spirit of God, who is given to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. Once you put your trust in Him, He doesn’t leave you alone. Trust that what He has begun in you, He will complete, by the working of the Holy Spirit.

Now thank God that you are now saved (a new creation-born again of God) and are now under His direction and authority, meaning you live as being in the Kingdom of God under the rule of Jesus Christ the Lord according to His word.

wrath of God
Your sins are forgiven, you are no longer subject to God's wrath
and delivered from the second death, leading to the lake of fire to be tormented forever, your name is written in the book of life. Rev 20:11-19

Warning

Be aware that there are many who follow different Christ's such as Mormons, Jehovah's witnesses, Catholics, the new age movement.

All religions do not have the same God, so please be aware of that and don't be deceived in believing they are the same.
